This cutting edge option offers the horse buyer an opportunity to secure "first refusal" on one of our increasingly sought after performance bred foals.
The best part is the fact that the buyer cannot lose which you will rarely find in most in-utero contracts available in Australia.
A few questions-
*Q-What is “in Utero”? What does it mean?
A-“In-utero” is the term to describe a foal before it has been born.
*Q-So what does it cost?
A-All ' sport pony foals' by our stallion Highfield Vivaldi are priced at $4500 In Utero .
All 'sport horse foals' out of our larger mares by Highfield Viavldi are $5500 in utero
Please Note -For all other stallions used in our "in utero" sales packages the prices vary.
Please contact us for prices on these foals.
*Q-How do I know if I will like my “foal” or if it will be conformational sound and healthy?
A-This is why we are offering this new, very fair contract to all purchasers which includes a 48 hr get out clause (please see below)
All our foals will be checked over by a vet as soon as they are born and any faults will be noted then. If the foal is still not to your liking:
conformation wise or even perhaps not the sex you really wanted, a full refund will be a given (yes you have read that correctly!)
*Q-Why should I choose to buy a foal this way?
A-Our foals are priced considerabley more once born and sold through the current market. This makes our “in-utero” plan an extremely viable
option for anyone wanting to purchase a beautifully breed performance horse/pony that perhaps couldn’t usually afford one.
After making the choice on your chosen mare (see table above) you then sign the contract and make a 20% deposit on the “foal’, who is yet unborn.
That deposit goes into an interest bearing bank account (8.44%!) and is safe. Primrose Court Stud gives periodic updates to the buyer on the mares progress.
Our mares are very well fed and cared for and receive regular vet, dental, and farrier care. The buyer is more than welcome to come and visit the mare at any
reasonable time.
If the potential buyer backs out of this contract before the foal hits the ground, Primrose Court Stud will keep 50% of the deposit and refundthe other 50% to the
buyer.
Apon the foals arrival we will immediately contact the buyer. The buyer can either come in person to see the new arrival or we will email photos and/or a DVD.If the
buyer decides to purchase the foal, they have two options for payment.
Option 1- To Pay in full.In which case the foal is now yours to own and take home upon weaning.
Option 2-To pay using a payment plan contract. The foal will remain the property of the stud until all outstanding balances have been paid in full.
With regard to the payment plan the buyer may pay for the foal in full at the 48 hour mark.Or they may pay the full balance of the foal over a period of 5 months or
prior to weaning. The foal must remain with Primrose Court Stud until the full balance has been paid.
If at any point there is Buyer Default and the Buyer cannot or dose not continue with a payment plan, no monies will be refunded by the Stud.
There is no penalty for early pay off and no interest is charged on payments.
If the buyer does not want the foal within the first 48 hours after the vet check,Primrose Court Stud refunds the full 20% deposit plus any interest that may
have accumulated. No hard feelings. This just allows us to freely market the foal. The buyer is more than welcome to come back and purchase the foal outright if
they change their mind. The price however will go back up to the normal market value and the ability to return to the in-utero price is not negotiable.
Payment plans-
Payment plans are available to help everyone realise their dream of owning one of our highly prized foals.
These can be monthly, weekly or to suit. We will help to work out a plan that suits you.
If the buyer decides to purchase the foal it is up to them to find a horse insurance plan to protect that foal. Primrose Court Stud will do everything in its power to
ensure the foal's safety before it is weaned. During the time Primrose Court Stud has the foal, the foal will learn to lead, to load into a Trailer or Horse Box
Other stallions- On some occasions we will breed our mare to the stallion of the buyer choice .In order to do this we must have payment in full and there are no
refunds when the foal is born. Please contact us for more information on this aspect of the in-utero contract.
Please note-
We will not breed, raise or sell any horse we would not want for ourselves.
However obvious as it may sound, we cannot guarentee the colour or sex of any in-utero foal.
This information represents a general overview of our contract.
